  • We focus on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of sports car racing. Our goal is to develop complete drivers who are mentally and physically prepared to compete at their highest level.

  • Speed starts with understanding. We teach drivers how their actions influence the car and the importance behind every input. How to read what the car is communicating and adapt their driving to get the most out of it.

    Our priority is to build an unbreakable competitive mindset while preserving and strengthening the passion and love for racing within the driver.

  • Spec MX-5 provides the ultimate environment for development. With the tools and characteristics of a modern sports car such as ABS and power steering, these systems allow a platform that is perfect for developing the technique drivers need to climb the ladder in sports car racing.

    Drivers that can master the Spec MX-5, especially the H pattern transmission, can quickly adapt to any type of car raced in today’s world.

    Mazda offers upcoming drivers in Spec MX-5 the opportunity to win the Mazda Scholarship, $150k awarded to the winner to compete in the next level of the Mazda ladder, MX-5 Cup.

Operation

  • NXT GEN Motorsports is a full-service arrive-and-drive team built to allow our drivers to focus on one thing, performance.

    We handle transportation, preparation, setup, maintenance, and trackside support.

  • Our drivers work directly with professional coaches who have experience competing in Spec MX-5 and understand the platform at a high level. Coaches include -

    2024 Spec MX-5 champion and current MX-5 Cup championship leader Justin Adakonis.

    Current 2026 Spec MX-5 championship leader Camden Gruber.

  • Our program is supported by experienced, professional motorsports mechanics, including personnel with IMSA-level experience. From preparation and setup to maintenance and trackside support, our goal is simple: make sure everything runs the way it should.

  • Every car arrives at the track prepared with a proven baseline setup. Our cars are routinely scaled, aligned, inspected, and maintained at the track to ensure consistency. We make focused adjustments throughout the weekend based on track evolution and what the driver and car need.

Opportunities

  • Testing gives the opportunity to improve without the pressure of competition. Drivers can build confidence and consistency while developing a deeper understanding of both themselves and the car.

    Lead-follow is highlighted and recommended in NXT GEN’s program.

    Includes track days, HPDE, and private testing.

  • Testing builds the driver. Racing tests the driver. Competition challenges drivers to apply their skills under pressure while developing racecraft, decision-making, adaptability, and mental discipline.

  • A competition license is required by governing bodies to race. There are many options for obtaining a license.

    We help drivers through the process with a properly prepared race car, trackside support, and the instruction needed to build the skills and confidence required for competition.

Our early results speak for themselves. In just five events we’ve proven our ability to compete at the front with an overall victory, three podiums, and multiple top ten placements.
